Bloomberg.com/company
Bloomberg, multinational mass media corporation, has asked Frog to redesign their corporate website which was originally hidden deep inside their market site, bloomberg.com. The company mainly provides financial software tools for analysing data services and latest news to financial companies and organizations. For their company site, we wanted to communicate the true personality of the company, therefore we made a single-page, infinite scrolling website using their real-time data.
Agency: Frog, CD: Monique Teselle, VD: Yumi Asai, Tech: Juan Charvet, Erika Wei
Achieved Business Marketing Association's ACE Awards for the Best Corporate Website

<img src="http://payload56.cargocollective.com/1/1/41792/3436143/bloomberg_bh_long.jpg" width="670" height="3467" width_o="670" height_o="3467" src_o="http://payload56.cargocollective.com/1/1/41792/3436143/bloomberg_bh_long_o.jpg" data-mid="17693887" border="0" align="left"/>

When compiling all the information together, we divided the data in 3 types. Evergreen data, moderately changing data and constantly changing data. Using their corporate typeface, Akzidenz Grotesk and incorporating their visual language, we decided to keep them in modules but in different sizes to create a dynamic site.

Specifically in my role, there was a typographical challenge since numbers were pulled from the source, which meant that the numbers kept changing. Potentially growing or losing digits created unknown spaces. Therefore I needed to create multiple templates that are flexible.

When the numbers are small, they can be large point size but when the numbers are large, point sizes must be smaller. I also had to work this out in relation to the text that followed underneath the numbers. Sometimes there are 3 lines of text, sometimes there are 2. Keeping in mind that these numbers fluctuated.

In order to keep the site visually entertaining, I had to make the color, type size and modules consistently apart from the similar ones. Therefore there needed to be a pattern and a matrix made for each row per section.

Getting all this together, the site was able to look randomly in order.

On the occasion of Powers of Ten Month, Core77, the Eames Office, and Herman Miller hosted a competition challenge to create a "response video" to Powers of Ten video originally created by Charles and Ray Eames in 1977.
The challenge was limited to 2 minutes, celebrating the seminal work in any way in which creativity leads—a reinterpretation, a mashup, a tribute, a reflection, a love letter. I created a video which demonstrates exponential power in quantity using simple letters.
